Kittens!!!

My cat Luv Muphin (Love muffin) had four kittens on Friday. let me tell ya, they are adorable!!! two have broad black stripes, one has small grey stripes, and one i s all grey. :) She is a very great mother, and keep a good eye open them. So, I've only gotten to look at them. I don't think mama is gonna let anyone touch her babies for a little while... haha. she lets me pet her when she is in with them, but she is still a little leery of me touching them. so, i am trying to get her to trust me by keeping my distance. hopefully when they get a little older she will be more comfortable with me with them. :)
I would like to post pictures, but my camera is currently unavailable :( which i s a bummer... i would have really liked to take pictures of the kittens before their eyes open. oh well, i will just have to make up for it by taking lots more when i get my camera back! :D

an unwanted surprise

This morning my sister went out to the chicken coop to see if they had laid an egg or two last night. on her way down she noticed that our ducks were hiding behind their house. So, she went over to see what was the matter, and low and behold, one of our duckys seemed to have been attacked by some sort of animal or something. Her wing was all covered in blood, and her feathers were ruffled.
So, my mom went to check her out. It appears that the wound isn't too deep, and the duck is likely to survive... but i am none to pleased that we have an animal here again trying to eat our duckys. Last summer we had a fox that got to over half of them over the course of the season. I hope that we don't have the same visitor this summer. :/

bliss

So, today was a day that i had pleanty of time to devote to my art. (what with my friends being miles and miles away and all) It was nice to just be able to sit around being lazy, doing what i love must. :) and the weather outside is just beautiful today! so, that left for opertunity to go out for a walk in the woods behind the house. I took the truty sketch book (of course) and was able to jot down the beginning of many good pictures. ahh the bliss of living in such a beautiful area, filled with insperation. :)

Rumors Rumors....

So, i was unable to do softball this year due to medical reasons. ( I have a rare deaseas known as Miller Fishers syndrom) But my very talented sister is able to play. :) At pratice one of the girls asked her why i could not play this year. she told them that i was sick. and thus starts a rumor... the girls first response was, "so she's pregnant!" and off all the others went. decided for themselves whether or not i was actually pregnant... haha. some of them were certain that i wouldn't be, but others thought for sure i was. my valiant sister tried to put an end to this once and for all by establishing that i was indeed not pregnant. but alas. at the end of practice a few of the girls came up to her wanting to know "the truth" of my disappearance from the softball team.(I am not pregnant btw. haha)
I don't really mind these kinds of things. I actually find them pretty entertaining... It seems like people believe whatever they want to believer. even if someone fully informed of the situation tells them other wise. they will come to their own conclusions and stick with them, only swayed by a newer more juicy piece of gossip that gets thrown their way.
But i will admit... times like these i am terribly glad that i am homeschooled. :) not that i am completely safe from the evil grasp of high school gossip... I just think i am in a better situation to handle it.

far far away

It seems that if someone is far away, you miss them more then if they were home. where they should be. within driving distance... even if you wouldn't see them anyway, it seems to just make it that much worse when there is no possible way that you could just get in the car and drive over if you really wanted to... or if something happened.. yeah... I dislike it when people go far away.
This weekend my wonderful BF and most of my other friends (they are in a band) are going up to Maine for four days. A seven hour trek by car into the wilderness to play at a youth event. And little old me, unable to accompany them, is stuck here... and when you add the fact that i am a worry wort beyond all measure, and those boys are not the most cautious group around... i am going to be in stitches the whole weekend, wondering what kind of danger they could all be in out in the wilderness of Maine. haha it's gonna be a long one...
But amidst all my worry and anxiety i know God is in control and will keep a better watch over them then i ever could. So, alas, I am just gonna have to sit and trust him... and miss my guys. ;)

Wednesday

It is Wednesday. that means dads day off from work, the day to go grocery shopping, and i have to work extra hard to do all my school by the end of the day! I mean don't get me wrong.. i love shopping with my mom. It is one of my favorite things to do, but it does take up the whole morning. Leaving the afternoon to scramble and get things finished.
on a different note, it seems we are having a little spring winter. :/ it went from warm, to cold in and snowy pretty quick. I like snow, but i am defiantly ready for the warmth to stay!
